Safari is a web browser service developed, owned and operated by Apple Inc. Safari was introduced within Mac OS X Panther in January 2003. As of 2021, Safari has progressed through fifteen major versions. In September 2021, Safari was ranked as the second most used web browser after Google chrome. Since Safari is owned by Safari, the source of the money comes from the royalties that Safari earns. Google is another search engine that can be used within the Safari web browser, which also earns royalties which contributes to the royalty income.
